Airports Authority of India Operational Offices

It was one of the worst experience happened to me today. I was supposed to board Indigo flight scheduled to depart by 4.20 p.m. I was asked to report at Gate No.12 by 3.30 p.m. But, I was well in advance and reached the gate by 2.45p.m. In the same gate boarding for 4 flights continuously happened. Whenever I approached the counter they said it is for some other destination. The counter staff requested me to be seated and promised to call me when boarding happens. I was sitting in the chairs provided near the gate. But, the announcement screen is placed behind the chairs, so no one sitting in the seats can't have a glimpse of it. Finally, when I reached the counter they said the boarding is closed. When I complained, they say that it is my responsibility to keep a watch on the screen about the announcements. I am really at a loss to understand how the AAI is expecting the passengers to see the screen which is kept at the back of the passengers?

A bit more cumbersome as they ask all mobile,chargers,belt,watch etc..to keep it in separate tray,which otherwise we use to keep in our bag for scanning machine. As the queue gets very lengthy,it becomes a bit dicey as AAI need to alternately increase the scan/xray m/c to avoid inconvenience to the passengers. Safety is a must,but normally in most of the airports they allow such things to be kept in one's own hand bag which in anyway is getting scanned. Thanks & Regards V Gurumurthy

Chennai immigration one of the worst performing. Takes an hour and half to exit. Pathetic service
