I'll have to admit I'm a bit nervous about burying my mother at Oakland Hills but that was her wish. The grounds are beautiful but I have noticed they are sometimes not well mowed/trimmed. Wish they would fix the stone wall next to the entrance . . . has been partially collapsed for many years. Will let you know how it goes.

I have had a relationship with this cemetery for approximately ten years and own 12 plots. I originally chose this Memorial Garden because of its location, its beauty, and the availability of plots so that my family can ultimately be at rest together. I find the grounds are consistently well maintained which adds to the serene nature of this place. The counselor that I dealt with during the death of my husband and brother was compassionate, caring, and conscientious, and continues to help me if I need her. When I encountered an issue with my brother's marker, she made sure it was taken care of in a timely manner. Any other request I have made has also been handled promptly and to my satisfaction. Overall I have been very happy with my choice for my family.nnAs I read other reviews, I couldn't help but wonder if some of the negative opinions of Oakland Hills perhaps, in part, come from not being familiar with the laws and policies that govern cemeteries (I certainly was), in addition to the difficult task of accepting that certain things are out of anyone's control. I do not wish for anyone to have a negative experience when it comes to the death of a loved one and am sorry if their expectation was not met at such a difficult time. I hope and pray for all of us as we navigate life without our loved ones. I understand and agree that there is always room for modernization and improvement of an institution that has been in existence for some time. I would welcome a look by the owners/management at initiatives that would address some of the concerns that have been expressed.

My grandma was laid about two years ago. With unfinished bench work, Jason was more helpful than ever to help finished the work. I totally recommend Jason. He helped design the bench to my family’s liking within just in a few hours, credits to him! He’s understandable, exceptional & skillful!

Still waiting for the date plate to be put on my father's headstone. He died in June of 2018. We have gone in, called numerous times. Nothing. It was supposedly ordered this summer, again, nothing.

After the devastating loss of my father-in-law a month ago, the counselor at Oakland Hills was more than we could have hoped for. During this very difficult time Lori showed my family so much care and concern. Even during this pandemic our society is living through, she was very patient and understanding. When we come visit, the park grounds are beautiful and welcoming so we enjoy sitting and visiting with our loved one. Thank you Lori for supporting our family...we are forever grateful for your kindness.
