Peaceful place. Most of the residents are tribal people who are well mannered and have socio_cultural bonding . Most of the childrens are going to school. Though there is pollution due to the railway siding it has provided income to local residents.

Situated in the Gram panchayat of Nuagaon under sadar block of keonjhar district. Goaldih is a remote village with a population over 1000 persons. It is connected by rural roads with Nuagaon(2km) and padampur(4km). It has railway line connectivity between bhubaneswar and Rourkela stations. The presence of goaldih railway station brings people from different places for the purpose of travelling as well as transportation of minerals.
