Dhori Mata Church

Mata MerrynVery very Famous charch. Many people come here at last Saturday and Sunday of October every year. They pray to mata merry with giant enlighted candles. Dhori mata festival is famous in Jarangdih.nThis idol was first found into a coal mines of Dhori coal mines. The idol was like a woman holding a baby boy in her arm. Local people worship the idol thinking as goddess Kali but later on the idol was considered as Mata Merry because Goddess Kali don't have any child kept into her arm. As the idol was found in Dhori so that is called Dhori Mata.nDhori Mata church is situated beside the Jarangdih - Kathara Main road. There is also a play ground beside the charch as well.

A beautiful place where you forget all your worries and mind and soul become peaceful. A religious place where people from all communities come to make their wish and give testimonies.

Very much famous among Christian and Hindu community. During alst saturday of every year is full of crowd day. Yearly festival is done on this day.
