As an educational institution I regard it a temple. But the official stuff has descended the glorious past. It is like snail in academic development, remotest from that of Govt. Boys'.
The environment of this school is good but importance should be given on sanitation
It is one of the best govt school for girls in nagaon dist.
This is the oldest girls school of Nagaon town. Offers courses under SEBA up to class X, and, classes XI/XII under AHSEC.nThe standard of the school had detoriated over the years. From the last 2/3 years, the govt is trying to improve its standard.nThe building has been reconstructed, it is now a double storied building.nA new School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) has been formed in 2017. I am the president of this SMDC at present.nThe new SMDC is taking various steps for overall improvement of the school. We have installed 'biometric (fingerprint) attendance machine' for the teachers and office staff, conducted free medical check up camp for the students (no such camp was organised for at least last 20 years), repaired the drinking water filtration setup (it was not working for last 3 years), freshly equipped the science laboratories with necessary instruments and chemicals, and so on.nIn short, efforts are on to improve the school further.
