Surya mandir sun temple is located near somnath opposite to triveni... people are living attached to sun temple... maintenance is there... n there underground stepwell type way is there... hinglaj mata temple gufa is there opposite to sun temple...

This is one of the oldest sun temple of the country believed about 5000 years old it's also said the Pandavas of Epic Mahabharat staid here at the time of there Agyatvas. The current structure of the temple is constructed in 14th century. And decorated with beautiful sculptures of Sanatan Gods and Godess. But sorrow the the temple is not maintained and preserved properly although it has a significant place.

As Heard from the local people this mandir is 5K year old..nYou will find the Surya kund also here...

Very old structure but not well maintained. Seems it got modified as well by concrete and cement masonry work. This is centuries old temple has got very detailed carvings but not well preserved.
