Once a year they have a traditional food sale and indoor yard sale for a fundraiser. People come from all over. It's not only fun, and delicious, but also a good opportunity to learn a little about the Jewish religion and culture.

I enjoy visiting. I try to attend the Jewish Food Festival each year and have brought my grandchildren to expose them to other cultures. They hold a Q&A session with the Rabbi as well.

As is true of most Reform Jewish congregations, Beth Or is an open and welcoming environment. People of all faiths are welcome to visit the Temple, participate in Friday night and Saturday morning Sabbath services (shabbat), and learn about Judaism. The Rabbi, who is considered a teacher, is available to answer questions and give information. This is a no pressure environment where visitors are encouraged to learn, not convert. The Temple participates in many interfaith functions throughout the year and strives to remain an active voice in the Montgomery religious community.
