This is a very old masjid, it was rebuild/renovated in 2014/15, this masjid also called masjid Anwaria Dudwan.

Jamia Masjid Kupwara is a very large mosque in Main Kupwara Town. This mosque features large gathering of people on Fridays and on Eids. Many renowned speakers and Scholars often preach in this mosque. Kupwara's famous religious scholar Qari Danish also gives Friday sermons in this mosque. The masjid has some beautiful scenery of the Kupwara and lolab mountains and can accommodate thousands of people at a time. I fell truly blessed to have prayed there.
