One of the most beautiful museums in India. It describes the every point of a Mountaineer's life. It is a place to achieve more information about mountaineering and for entertainment also. The evrery needy product for mountaineering, their works and uses are fully described here. And the place is beautifully decorated with various flowers, paintings and design.

This place is awesome it has lots and lots of detail of mountaineers I know it's a museum... but this HMI Museum have lots of details it have the things of mountaineer... The Museum contains lots of information on the mountaineers just loved it a lot...... When I went there no mood to leave that place......

If you don't know anything about mountaineer then you should visit this place. They are sharing knowledge with original equipment. What equipment mountaineer are using during past years and also for now. There also improvement going on while we visited.

I really enjoyed reading the history and seeing some of the artifacts from some of the most famous climbs in history. It is crazy seeing how primitive some of the equipment was and yet they climbed Everest with it. I knew i was going to do the Everest base Camp hike a month later so everything was fascinating to me. If you any interest in climbing or the old school explorers it's a must visit.
