This used to be the cemetery for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Manjuvayal until the mid eighties, when the new one was built closer to the church. There used to be only one concrete tomb here, as I remember others being unnamed ones. People used to remember where their dear ones were buried, and made it a point to clear the area on the occasion of the All Saints Day. Used to be an erie place for the rest of the year, at least for us kids.
