If you're interested in watching how tea powder made you should go inside museum. Otherwise purches variety of tea powders & flavor, in shop, front of tea museum.

Its nice place and they also sell products made by differently-abled. Do buy the product especially jams which is tasty.

Maintained by Kannan Devan Hill Plantation (KDHP), this place not only has a treasure of historical artefacts related to Tea, Tea Estates, associated people and organizations and also has a smal, live tea processing plant just for demo. The place is within the town limits, easily reachable, has very helpful staff, small but well maintained halls, live tea processing plant, sales depot as well as small eatery and kids play area. A must visit place if you are in Munnar!nKDHP in itself is a unique organization with most of its employees as share holders (but it's not a cooperative society) and Tatas supporting it.

It's a small factory, where in tea leaves gets crushed and then made to dry. Which results into tea powder. No brainer right!. However you get to see the history of how Kannan Devan hills was turned into a tea estate through a video which is for half an hour.nnThen there is a tiny museum at the entrance and tea and snacks shop at the exit.nnOnly visit this place if you have leisure time during your trip otherwise not recommended.

Tea manufacturing process is superb to watch. But the lessons are boring. Video about their company describes the munnar in different times. It is so nice to watch.
