Shalby Hospital, Mohali

I had very horrible experience at the hospital. Staff is criminally careless and need to close such 3rd class hospital. I had to admit my younger brother for treatment of asthma or suspected covid. I was very much in touch with doctors and intimated the doctors of patient arrival at hospital. But to my agony it took half an hour to shift the patient from ambulance to ICU that too on wheelchair without proper Oxygen. Patient was kept in covid ward without testing positive for two days. Sample for covid was taken after about 36 hours of admission and positive report was received after 24 hours of death of the young patient. On admission day video call was made and patient was fine but next day duty of resident doctor was changed and patient complained of carelessness of ward staff on video call. I contacted senior doctor and the doctor who referred me to shalby hospital. But no proper answer was received and in the evening senior doctor narrated me the patient condition and again before calling was tried but could no mature due to weak network. However I was able to see the face of patient which seemed friegtened and pained but well in senses. After about half an hour I was shocked to listen from doctors that he has collapsed. As per doctors a vigilant young patient not needing ventilator seemed to expire due to carelessness of attending staff. To add to my agony I had to collect death summary from covid ward at 3rd floor while all payments were accepted at IPD and morchary payments at reception. Inspite of round the clock duty managers no one is there to listen you or help you.

One of the best hospital in the vacinity. My mother was admited for UTI. Dr Ram and his team is very caring. Rooms are well cleaned everyday. Everything went smoothly.
