Properly maintained Railway Station , cleanliness on the platforms is Good, Parking space is very good, Ticket counter staff is very cooperative, RO water supply is required, more security is required because people cross the railway lines just before train arrives, this is very risky.

It is a small but a good railway station which has a number of trains so passengers can easily board on a train according to their need.Moreover,the details of trains are provided very well on the board,as a result, passengers can get information.However, waiting hall need to be improved because it's condition is not so good, owing to that, passengers have to compromise.Although, Barnala is a nice city.

City is tight. Station was ok ok. Station was quiet. But there were no coach position boards available. Ask someone about your coach position, otherwise you may have to walk the whole platform for your right coach. You can get train to Haridwar from here. Nothing much in the city.

This is my detailed review about three things of the city: (1) railway station, (2) bus station and (3) the city. This might help someone. But this was just my experience, yours can be different.nn1. The Railway Station: It only has one platform (PF-1). The platform side is clean and well maintained. It has good facility of sitting for the passengers on the platform. It also has a waiting room just in front of the ticket window but that was locked for some unknown reason at that time. Along with that it has good facility of cold drinking water, tea, cold drink, snacks, and mobile phone charging spots are easily found all over the place and are mostly available. It has good facility of rickshaws and autos if you want to go elsewhere in the city from here.nn2. The Bus Stand: Overall good experience. The bus station has good availability of buses and is fairly clean. Information is marked in a good way to make it easy for the passengers to find their ride. Long route buses are available every few minutes.nn3. The City: Overall good. Some local roads needed a little repair. Autos and rickshaws are easily available. Well, that's all I could know about the city in that short visit of mine. Didn't get time to talk to any locals.
