The Shahi Palace is a really great hotel run by a very special family. We loved everything about our time there and would recommend it to everybody - if you go to Jaisalmer, stay at the Shahi hotel! They are so welcoming and helpful there, the rooms are comfortable and the rooftop restaurant is just amazing, I could have stayed there ages, drinking chai and watching the fort. Furthermore we booked the camel safari overnight at the hotel and it was just wonderful! They care well for the camels, treat them very respectfully and the trip was well organized. It is not one of those touristy ones. Small group, local people, a sleeping place right in the sand dunes without any other people around, great food, we really loved it! At the holi festival they even invited us to their family in the evening, we had a fire together and dinner and really nice talks - you feel that they love what they do and that they don‘t do it just because of the money! Thank you so much everyone from Shahi Palace! Hope to see you again some day!

We discover by chance this hotel and its top roof restaurant. We had dinner one night in their restaurant with probably one of the best view on the fort you can imaging. The food and service were excellent and for good value. We did not stay in the hotel but friends did stay there and we visit their rooms. Very nice and cozy with a lot of attention to details and decoration. Definitely a good place to stay and eat with great view and close to everything you may need.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and good rooms. They offer a desert tour with a nightstay in the desert for 1950Rs. Rooftop is amazing. Great view over the castle. Delicious food. Must try: Paneer Tikka Masala. Would definetly stay here again.
