Evans Station

I get the Light Rail at this station regularly. It's my favorite because of the locomotives parked here. Sometimes I talk to the engineers while they wait for a ride. Each locomotive must be adjusted so that the rpms match. On the job training is the only way to learn this skill. No simulators apparently.

BNSF parks locomotives here. The coal trains, which have coal cars costing in excess of $135,000 each. One car carries 100 tons of coal, worth $42,000 or so. So each car is worth $200,000. The train has 100 to 135 cars. Very costly. The end user has to pay a 30 percent delivery fee. Wow. Can't be delivered any other way.
