This is a 3.5 rating in my opinion but it has to be a 3 or 4 star. Awesome host, very attentive, pleasant, polite and helpful. She is everywhere and doing everything. The campgrounds have several sites in multiple sections. I love the large fire pits. There is plenty for the children to do, basketball court included the 13 year old rated it 4 5 and stated a pretty nice playground. There are sever beanbag toss games. I believe you have to bring your own bags. I wish there was a little more effort put into the grounds themselves. Gravel on the drives going to the sites, hay/straw for areas where mud is present, fill in some of the standing water sites and have a few more full hook up pull through sites. Also, I was not happy with the location of my firepit, I felt like we were right outside our neighbors window. It was too far from the site itself and too close to the road. We had a wonderful time while we were here and this was our second visit. I was happy there were sites for all 6 families in a short time period.

Great camping spot for campers rvs or if you like to camp how I do a tent!! tent space is pretty limited but massive RV & camper parking has a pool for summer time fun & also has bathrooms & shower houses. they also have cabins on premises if that's more your style (not sure on pricing of any) but most seems reasonable.

Kid friendly with lots of things to do. Michelle who works there was super nice and helpful. This KOA gives you access to lots of amenities on the 1,000 Trails facility, but they’re kind of spread out so it’s easier if you bring a golf cart or bikes to get around. Very nice and we’ll be back.

Overall the place was good. The only problem was the quite time not being enforced. At 1:00 AM kids were riding golf carts around with bright lights and playing loud music.

This is the noisiest campground we have ever stayed in. There is an almost constant parade of golf carts, loud gas ones, with their music blaring... and they get worse in the evening and didnt stop until after 1:30am.. pretty sure that many aren't licensed drivers.. so.. are they insured?? Thousand trails and KOA are together, entry is confusing but once inside the gates it's all together.. its mostly seasonals and more like a trailer park. It's packed in, sites are close and some fire rings are right out on the road. The lake is small and swampy. There is a dog park but lots of dog walking and not much poop collecting going on. The site was level, though water pressure low. Check out time is 11am even on Sunday.. shortening your weekend from the standard 5pm
