UPDATE: We did receive an apology from the staff and this issue has been resolved to our satisfaction. We booked a stay in one of the cottages and upon arrival noticed it wasn’t cleaned very well. There were massive amounts of cobwebs and dead bugs in almost every corner. A simple sweeping/vacuuming would have helped. The “mattress” felt like sleeping on a box spring and you couldn’t shower without the drain clogging within seconds. Also, there was an awful stench of urine and death seeping from the vents. These were all minor annoyances compared to waking up to the sound of mice in the kitchen one night! We got up and noticed poop all over the stove and countertop as well as the living room. We did not leave trash or food out overnight and always cleaned up after meals. It seemed as though they had been there before our stay (hence the smell). We were so disgusted we decided to leave a day early. Upon checkout, we notified the staff (and who I would assume to be the owner) that there were mice in the cottage. After giving us a blank stare he began telling us how he had mice in his house too & that he would get his “mice guy” on it. Some sort of credit or an apology at the LEAST would have been okay. Instead we were brushed off and not even thanked for our business. The management and staff have a lot to learn in regards to customer service and service recovery. We understand mice are common for the area but the way the situation was handled (or not handled for that matter) revealed the staff had no business dealing with guests. Would not recommend this place and we will not be booking again.

The lake is nice if you get a boat. They didn't have any speed boats or jet skis ready for anyone to rent on June 2nd when we camped. We asked about them before coming and they didn't even know any information about boat rentals in the phone. I was double charged for my stay and still haven't gotten a refund a month later. I've called multiple times. Customer service has no idea what is going on and are no help with anything.

Visited in July 2020. (Facilities/amenities - 5 stars, sites - 1 to 5 stars (see below), "big rig access- 2 stars) From what I understand, new managment took over this park in May. Signs everywhere say no golf carts, no fireworks. The park was very quiet and peaceful. The bar was exceptional especially when sitting outside looking over the lake. Prices reasonable ($13 for 2 drinks). Large recreation/common area that many sites back up to with frisbee golf, putt putt, horse shoes, tennis, shuffle board, pool and low net for badminton. All balls, paddles, disks provided. Some had to be signed out. Beach and dock area with boat ramp. Kayaks, boats and jet skis available for rent. This park is advertised as big rig friendly. However, the access around the main loop was very tight in several places with low hanging branches (we removed a few on our way out). I would not try to take anything bigger than 30' into most of the park. We managed our 44' fifth wheel but lucked out on our choice of site 27. Looking at other sites on that loop, we would not have been able to park in many of them. Narrow main road, narrow sites and poor placement of power pedestal make many sites difficult or impossible to get in to. Sites: our site was super long and plenty wide to keep space between neighbors. We had room to set up our cornhole game without crowding our RV or the neighbor. This site was easily accessible because there were no trees directly across the road to hinder our maneuvering. Other sites are narrow (visitors in site 26 could not extend awnings) and had obstacles that really affected ease of parking or even usability of the lot. Throughout the park we noted there were very large easily accessible sites but in the same cluster there were very narrow nearly unusable sites except by tent or pop up trailer. If you're going to visit this park, call the office when selecting your site to be sure you're getting one that is usable for your purposes. Unless you're bringing a tent or a pop up avoid site 26. Management and customer service are excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

Classic Wisconsin Supper Club meets Campground. Family-run and well-maintained, this seems to be a go-to spot for regulars who come back year after year. This is not the place to go if you are looking for a true nature experience in a quiet setting. During the week it's quite pleasant but the campsites are packed into every possible available corner of the property and intermingle with rental homes, cabins and a hodgepodge of other lodging. They've done an excellent job of maintaining the trees and vegetation to create some sense of the north woods, though clearly most people come for the socializing. Friday night and Saturday night the facilities are packed and it is noisy and crowded and quite a party. Tons of activities for kids and adults alike, ideal for fishing and Lake Sports. Definitely not a true outdoorsy camping get-away experience.
