Payne Campground

Went here a couple of days ago with my family. Was a really nice place just to get away for a few hours. And I got to get in the water!! Which is always a plus.As you all know, they have a homemade Beach down there, boating, and all sorts of fun. So when the weather's hot and you have nothing else to do come on down and enjoy yourself at the campground .

Nice camping sites with plenty right on the lake. Bathrooms were clean, but no hand soap. Dumpster was overflowing, but it was a full campground so that’s to be expected. Close to several stores in case you forget something. Park rangers were diligent about getting visitors out before closing the gate at night. It was a pleasant experience, and we plan to go back sometime.

Not all the information that you need is on the site. Guest gate times. Amish looking gate guard is very grumpy. Also locks gates early too. Others I encountered were very friendly and informative.

The couple that works up front were so nice and helpful ! We had the most beautiful view of the lake ! We enjoyed our stay so much !

Wonderful and beautiful place to stay, rest, overnight. It 22$, respectable distance bw spaces.
