This campground was big and had great spacious sites. We ended up with a full hookup across from the gift shop so there was a lot of traffic near our site. We did not use the restrooms/showers so I don't know how clean they were. The KOA had a clean pool, big dog run and nice grocery/gift shop. The staff worked hard and they were very friendly. You can get discounted tickets ($27) for the Indiana Beach Boardwalk. A historic amusement park and beach/water park The Boardwalk was rundown, but new investors have bought it and are in the process of remodeling it. Still the kids had a great time there. The KOA is next door to the Indiana Beach Campground which was a massive crowded campground. Looked like a lot of fun. If you like big crowds. Will visit again in the future.

We have stayed at this campground twice this year. It is definitely up to KOA standards! The sites, bathrooms, cabins and pool are very clean. The store is nice and has a variety of items. We love the transportation (trolley) that can be used to and from the amusement park. I love that there are even lifeguards at this pool! We are looking forward to staying at the new cabins they are currently installing next year!

I give this a 2 because it is well known that the trees need trimmed so they don’t scratch campers. Time and again we saw campers pull in and out frustrated by small low hanging limbs that should be maintained. I understand this is not a new problem and needs to be addressed. We will not be returning. Sorry.

Not impressed. We spent 2 nights. Husband and I in the RV and adult children in a cabin. Late check in so no one to show us where our site was. Had to drive around a few times to find it. Water hookup was way back by the road so our hose was stretched to the max. Site was filthy. Dirty diapers, clothing tags, plastic bags, beer cans, baby wipes, etc were littered throughout our site as well as the fire pit. Cabin was dirty. Floors had definitely not been swept and looked as though the cabin had not been dusted in a while. Camp pool is shared with Indiana Beach RV park. Also told lady, while placing the reservation, that we were talking a detour from our trip to go to the amusement park next door and that we were only staying 2 nights. Not once did she mention that they were closed except for the weekends. We were there Wednesday through Friday. So we drove 400 miles out of the way for nothing but a dirty, dark and unorganized campground. They did give us a small compensation for the problems we experienced but it was rudely given and cheap on their end. I expected much more from a KOA. This is one campground we will not be returning to. Only thing that saved the trip there was Shafer Boat Rentals.

I rented a deluxe cabin for a week and we were facing an empty field, of the mix other campers. Our cabin didn’t offer pots, utensils and coffee pot. But has a fridge and stovetop. The futon couch has stains on it. The bushes in front of the cabin were overgrown so I couldn’t see my girls playing or the fire while sitting on my porch. There was a wasp nest on the porch undercarriage which was a constant nuance while being outside our site. The common area’s around the pool are filled with weeds along the path, trees are not well maintained in the campground. I love being a KOA member and going camping year after year to KOA because I trust the owners are keeping up with KOA standards. But this felt sub par to any KOA I’ve been to in the past.
