Fantastic, beautiful location. The fall colors here are awesome. Very popular spot in the fall for both tent camping and RV campers, it was very full - definitely recommend taking a long weekend and staking out your spot early. Love that there are plenty of tent sites scattered throughout the park. Had fun Halloween activities for kids, lots of trails, tons of wildlife, and plenty of woods to explore. Respectful neighbors, everybody maintained quiet hours. Only downside (which is hopefully temporary) is currently the steps to the cave itself are closed.

It's a little out of the way but well worth the stop. The landscape is marvelous. The views are awesome. It was a very enjoyable Saturday visit. We could bring our dogs; they enjoyed the new sights and smells. No cabins but plenty of picnic tables and campsites. Great value.

This is a fantastic Park. Lots of amazing camping areas. Super trail system. Great wildlife and bird watching. There are house riding trails and they allow deer hunters to bow Hunt. The parks need to reopen the Cave. Excellent staff too.

Call ahead before you waste your time driving down here to not see the cave, which is closed due to "storms". Edited: although the "cave" is closed off the trails are still fun and in great shape. Worth a visit.

4th time camping here. The scenery is probably the best I've experienced in Nebraska. Heavily wooded, rolling hills, deep ravines, scenic overlooks. I took one star away because the front office over sold tent camping spots. There were NONE left. Drove around the park for 2 hours trying to find a spot. When I went back to the booth, they said I couldn't camp in the equine area, because I didn't have a horse. But for an additional $15 (a total of $30) i could camp in a camper spot with electric hook up. Had to take it or drive home. Also, due to a mudslide/rockslide 2 years ago, the park's namesake -Indian Cave is closed. On top of that, due to covid, the museum buildings in St. Deroin are also closed. No candle making of blacksmith shop either. Even with all those negatives it is still my favorite place to camp in Eastern Nebraska. I will give them another try.
