Great place! Visited after the renovation, really well done up and the owner Matt and staff were amazing! Had an awesome Melbourne Cup! Will visit again 100%

Fabulous burgers. Kids play area. Service a little on the light side though - table cleaning was a non starter. Good spot all up though.

Bring back the Ruby hotel already! Not sure if it's still under the same management after the refurbish but the service is definitely different... Ok, it's just the one bar staff who was just so dismissive and rude. She wouldn't make eye contact, wouldn't acknowledge the order, walked away when we were trying to place a second order (10 min after the first)... She just made us feel like we were imposing. Shame. A couple of the other staff were perfectly pleasant but she completely ruined the experience.

The place has seen a upgrade in recent years, for one it's no longer called the Ruby hotel. And two it's really cleans and up market, staff are very friendly and I really like that they have craft beers on tap... And they let you try before you buy!! Would go back just for that! The monkey... Something beer is very good!!
