It is an important entrance to the Nadia district from Kolkata. This is very important for students, as there are numerous highly-rated universities, colleges and institutes like IISER-Kolkata, BCKV, and Kalyani Engineering College. The infrastructure of the station is commendable. The junction station is well-planned and the ticket counters are also well-accessible. The toilets are also clean along with the platforms which is an exceptionally great thing.
