We booked it online so the experience was smoothnLocation is prime .Good if you want to have shopping in evening.nLocation is amazing . Surrounded by hills, greenery.Looks amazing in dark when houses are all lit up at the opposite hillnRoom,passages,lawn,stairs leave an impression of elegance,class,delicacy.nRestaurant has a moderate collection of option to offer .Food tastes like made in home .Breakfast offers wide range of variety .Enjoy the morning having a cup of Darjeeling tea while seeing hills at the oppositenRooms are quite large ,have good views,restroom is having all sort of options to offer .nOverall it was a good experience to stay there

Elgin is a beautiful heritage hotel, located in the heart of Kalimpong. The hotel is built in colonial style and the decor will definitely take you to the British era. The seating area has a royal touch. The hotel has a bar as well. The hotel has a huge garden area, where you can spend some time admiring the beauty of the hills and enjoying the cool breeze.nnComing to the room, I stayed at room no 54 which is a deluxe double bedroom. The room offered a wonderful view of the city as well as the mountains. The room was equipped with a wardrobe, TV, fan, room heater, lamps, sofa, table, etc. The bathroom had a bathtub, shower and all modern facilities.nnI had my dinner here where Chinese was served. The food was delicious and tasted authentic. The food was light. The noodles, rice, chicken and fish were very good. Even the pudding was so nice. The next day breakfast was equally good. I loved the Omlette with toast, sausages and the aloo Paratha.nnThe service was top notch. The staffs were really courteous and cooperative. The room service was fast and prompt. The hospitality was worth remembering. I loved my stay at Elgin. It was an experience worth remembering. The amount you pay seems meagre in front of the stay, food and hospitality which this place offers.

One of the oldest and most reputed hotels in Kalimpong. 5 mins walk from main town. The rooms are very well maintained and the place itself is in good location. The staffs are helpful and well behaved. As soon as you enter the property, you'll find a different kind of vibe which seperates the place from other hotels. From outside the hotel, you'll see a beautiful view of Kalimpong town and it's surrounding places.nPretty costly but worth every penny. Would highly recommend.
