Great place to visit. Once a staying place of great Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.Standing with its dazzling past. But a mournful presence. No one to look after to preserve this Heritage site.

This place should be one of the best preserved place. However it's in a dilapidated state and is badly in need of a thorough renovation. This is the house where Nobel laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore used to stay when he visited Kalimpong. He even broadcast some lines from Geetanjal through All India Radio from this house.It's a great historical landmark.

This is the house which Rabindra nath Tagore used as a summer home. The architecture of the house is amazing. This house was built atleast 100 years from now. Every room has a fire place and pillers are round and arched doors all around.nThe building must have been built by spending huge amounts of money. As two storeys was not common during the early days. There is also a drive way and a stable for horses if you notice.nThe building must have offered a great view to the great poet from second storey.nI hope one day this building could be restored to its former glory and we could go inside and experience what the great Tagore must have felt while he was here.
