Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum

Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum is basically am indigo museum. So far google doesn't provide proper information so we basically landed up here around 11am and were informed that the museum can only be viewed with prior tour bookings. But we saw some pieces around the place and in another building. Our guides for the day were some students who were great, they were trying so hard and it was commendable. The property is great. Some of artwork is wonderful as well.

Get to experience paintings mostly of pahadi style. Beautiful ambience with showcasing detail process of Indigo production from seed to application on clothes and denim.nGreat learning .nOf Indian style painting.

Most beautiful art museum right in the middle of the city of Ahmedabad.nThe indigo museum is open to visitors no prior booking is required , timing is from 10am to 4 pm and also photography with a mobile is permitted here and it’s a very calm and soothing place . The indigo museum states that the indigo was found out here in India and also the artifacts here are amazing

A must visit place for Art students or art loving people .nPhotography is permitted .It has marvelous wall paintings and sculptures . Screens giving information regarding the paintings and master pieces are provided everywhere .Timings are from 10am to 4pm everyday except Wednesday . One need not register if wishes to see the Indigo Museum .Greenery is here to a next level . One can’t imagine such a cool and lush green place is situated in the middle of Ahmedabad city . The Indigo Museum here depicts the origin of Indigo colour from India . The Wall paintings and Pieces are just astonishing .The people here are very friendly and helpful .The Premises is very nicely build and has amazing architecture .

It was not a very pleasant feeling when you are told on reaching the place that we can see the Indigo exhibition only... We were denied permission to visit the museum since we did not have prior booking... What does that even mean... Ridiculous since we are visiting Ahmedabad for two days .. Also the details showed in Google did not indicate such a requirement ... It needs to be rectified so that visitors are not misinformed...This is quite in contrast with the Calico museum where this information is displayed so clearly... Surely a let down... Avoidable ...
