Detroit Amtrak

Worst security guard ever. Rude and mean. He act as if its his dad's house. Definitely need to be trained to act humanly.

This station is perhaps not much popular since t was difficult to find even for an experienced taxicab driver but fortunately I had the zip code which helped reaching. The staff is helpful and courteous and there is a ramp for the handicap people. Just took the train and this is my first time to use an Amtrak. The worst experience ever. The ticket office lady didn’t let me take the elevator since “I look young” so I had to climb up the stairs with both of my 40lbs and 20lbs luggages — in a line. Everybody else said you should use an elevator but the lady kept saying no. I won’t use Amtrak never again. Especially with carry ons. You ruined my holiday trip.n—-nUpdated: the employees on the train was great. I guess it’s just the station. The train was delayed so it took additional 2 hours, but other than that train experience was good. Plenty of legroom and there was a dining car which was convenient. I will just go to another station next time.

Good place to watch TV if that's how you pass waiting time. So disconnected from the city, even the White Castle slider shack across Woodward. No food on sale from vending awaits you. Nothing to drink stored up in a vending machine. Why does Amtrak allow stations to become such blah, beige experiences?

Fast in an out situation. Very limited parking lot.
