This review is for Industrial area branch of State Bank of India. Highly mismanaged (not managed at all) branch. I went with my friend to open his account there. It took over 5 hours to open one account. Only one person in the whole branch opening the accounts as well as updating the passbooks. Customer who came after us left the branch before us because we were asked to wait while opening the account, so that they can help other customers to update their passbook. This review is for Industrial Area Branch of State Bank of India. After opening the account (over 5 hours to open the account), there was no entry on passbook for opening balance transaction. Also, their printer is so bad that we couldn't even read the account number and CIF number on the passbook. None of their passbook updating machines were working. None of their passbook updating machine was working.
I highly doubt if they have a branch manager there. If they do, then I wish he will do his job to justify his paycheck. There is no point of having a position just to warm the seat of the manager's chair in the office. He needs to come out of his office and look in the branch that what is happening.
Please visit other branch of SBI or only visit this branch if you have whole day to waste to do one small banking transaction.
