Thalassery railway station (TLY) is a railway station serving the City of Thalassery in Kerala. This station has two Platforms. Waiting Rooms, Restaurants, Food Counters, Ticket Counter & Reservation Counter, Enquiry Counter, Book Stall are on Platform 1 (New Building). Lot of waiting seats on both the platforms in the Railway Station. Platform 2 has few food counters. Clean and Well-maintained platforms. Most of the Express trains has stop here. The railway station has lift as well as escalator which facilitate the Passengers to cross platform. The station is also equipped with free wireless internet access facility. Platforms & Station crowded during Morning & Evening Peak Hours. Lot of Parking Space available on both platform entrance Sides.

In the year 2002, Thalassery cricket ground celebrated its 200th birthday by hosting an one-day international cricket match between India and Sri Lanka.nnThalassery is considered to be the birth place of Indian circus.
