A very needed police station in this area.nThis police station is easily accessible for the people in the near by area.nnThis police station was established by renewing the old police station which was used in the colonial British police era.nThere was a plan to demolish the old building which is a symbol of heritage and the idea was withdrawn due to strong opposing by the public.nnThe police station is established by dividing the area limit of Nedumkandam police station and Shanthanpara police station.nnThe same was inaugurated by honourable chief minister of Kerala Shri Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan at a meeting chaired by honourable electricity minister and the MLA of the constituent assembly where the station is situated, Shri MM Mani and the welcome speech was delivered by IG Vijay Sakhare.nnThe police station is situated in the udumbanchola - Chemmannar route and is near to electricity office.nnThere is mess facility for having food for police.nnThere is quarters facility for staying with family for the police officers.nnThere is a badminton court for entertainment.nnOne new building is under construction and there is separate building for investigation team.
