Visitors can enjoy a great drive through the forest and able to see different animals including elephants if they are lucky. Beautiful scenarios on the way. The forest department provides trekking of one to six hours with guides. Journey through forest during night is unsafe and hence it is not allowed after 7pm. No mobile networks available.

Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, located at the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, is accessed on the drive between Pollachi and Munnar. A short walk down the Chinnar stream can be surprisingly productive with signs and occasional encounters with many mammal species, a high bird diversity that is attracted to the banks of the stream and a plethora of butterflies and dragonflies. The grizzled giant squirrel, the star tortoise and the yellow-throated bulbul are some of the highlight species that we need to look out for on the Chinnar walk.n#chinnarwildlifen#goandeatkerala

♥ Spotted Deer, Sambar, Hanuman Langur and peacocks can be spotted alongside the road.n♥ It's home to the Great Grizzled Squirrel of India, which are among the most endangered species on the planet.n♥ An ideal spot for trekking.n♥ The beautiful Sandalwood forest nearby is a must visit.n♥ Herds of Gaur and Elephants can be seen strolling around casually in this area.nud83eudd9c Birdwatchers paradise, ud83dudcf8n→ Visited during the Covid time, Munnar is open for tourists. As per the locals, its said that no Covid cases has been reported there, and they believe that its because of the pure air that the pandemic has not affected them.n→ Visitors who want to enter TamilNadu, need to register at Tamilnadu check post through e-register, which is instant.n→ Visitors to Kerala need E-Pass, which you need to register from the Jagrata Portal website, (better to use this website in lap/pc as its difficult to register using mobile, very poor UX), need ID Proofs as well, upto 5 person can be registered under 1 ID.
