The palace is not very far from the faridkot railway station. It was built for Maharaja Bikram Singh in 1889. The architecture of the palace is really beautiful. The entrance, also known as Raj Deori, now is changed to Balbir Hospital. Its a nice place to see in town.

My Uncle Dr. K. L. Sethi (Orthopedic Surgeon) was working in Balbir Hospital during 1957- 59 and I had visited and stayed there in 1958. While passing through Faridkot on Aug. 16th , 2014., I again visited this hospital almost after 55 years with next younger generation, which really gave us a tremendous pleasure and great rememberance
