Khongjom Laanpham

Nice place with historic significance beautiful constructions around but lost most of the significant surrounding environment and important spots to the commercialization. Would have been great if the surrounding area were preserved as part of the construction given as facelift. Sad to see the importance of this historic place being reduced to just another commercialized artificial construct loosing the meaning it holds to the history of this indegeneous community.

Its in Indo-Myanmar road 36kms away from the capital city.nThe place where last war was fought against the British-India, after which princely state kangleipak become under the British India empire.nThe war memorial has been developed as a mark of paying tribute to the martyrs of manipur along with Paona Brajabasi who had made the supreme sacrifice for the sake of their motherland in the anglo-manipuri war 1891.

It's a memorial place for our beloved heros of manipur
