Ritu Kolentine Makeup Artist - Bridal Studio & Training Academy

No hygiene, lack of proper staff, untrained staff and mismanagement!! Won’t recommend this particular place to anyone. Worst experience ever!!!!

I was in amritsar for a little vacation from Toronto and thought of learning dupatta setting and saree tying classes while i was there.(P.s I am makeup artist and a hairstylist) I contacted ritu kolentine for the classes and the her staff member gave me an estimate of 3000 Rs for classes and told me that deal was only for that particular day. the next time i called her and she said price had gone up to 5000 Rs. regardless i was willing to learn while i was there. i set up a meeting. When i reached the salon i met RITU herself. I MUST SAY THAT THIS LADY IS SO ARROGANT AND EGOIST THAT SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO A CLIENT IN FRONT OF THE STAFF AND OTHER CLIENTS. first of all she raised price from 5000 to near 30,000. after that she insisted me to show her my make up work. I Showed her my profile and she started selling her makeup classes to me by saying that my make up skills arent good enough . she pulled up her id and showed me some Indian stars that she has worked with and started bashing my work infort of people for not being good. I felt so humiliated there but i didnt say anything back to her. it was my second time in india and i am not even good at speaking in hindi. I didnt tell her that i have worked with so many indian artsits too . And most importantly i work with INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCE OF THEATRICAL STAGE. I HAVE LEARNT MAKE UP SKILLS FROM MAKEUP ARTISTS LIKE LOUISE MACKINTOSH. i got to work and learn from so many worderful people across canada and the united states but noone ever put me down like ritu did. I respect you job and skills but i didnt want to learn makeup from you cuz your style is not my style. i hope u attend your customers better in future. :) PS: Her staff member called me the following day and asked me if i would take a class if they drop their price from 30,000 to 15,000. their price range fluctuated so much 3000 to 5000 to 30,000 to 15,000

Ritu Kolentines salon was fabulous!! I’m in Amritsar for a wedding, traveling from the United States. Before the wedding my friends and I had hair and makeup done. It was beautiful! The staff listened graciously to my requests, and also gave great recommendations to make my look complete. The day after the wedding we came in for a hair treatment and hand/foot polish. It was so nice to be pampered after a night of dancing! And especially great to relax after a week and a half of traveling through India. Thank you so much Ritu and your marvelous staff!!

I came to India for a destination wedding, and we used Kolentine’s for my wife’s make-up and hair. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with their respect, knowledge, expertise, and patience. My wife looked absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to share our pictures with all of our friends and family back in the United States!
