Historic theatre with large screen in Puducherry.Known as a very popular and old family theatre in here. Very large seating capacity along with balcony view.and Box View.Canteen available at ground floor.

Popular cinema theatre in Pondicherry. This is the first fully AC and 70mm cinema theatre of Pondicherry. Now with Qube DTS sound system.

I was once a great fan of this place. I used to love watching a movie at Balaji Theatre. But now, things have changed. Poor sound quality. Poor time sense. I don’t really understand why we should stand in a long queue despite booking tickets online. Hot sun ... 2.30 movie, they didn’t open the ticket counter to change online tickets to paper ticket even at 2.40 PM. After all that when we enter the theatre, the old Balaji theatre is no more that golden place to watch movies. I booked tickets here despite my friends asking me not to book here. I booked because of the love I had for this theatre. But it was disheartening to be in a theatre known for sound quality those days - with the poorest sound quality nowadays! Hopeless experience in the place where I started loving to go to theatres to watch movies.nnFrustrated. Please improve the sound quality. Please allow online booking people to enter with M-ticket itself. Please don’t force them to change to paper ticket again. Why should we book online then? To avoid standing in queues and to confirm tickets at home itself, we book tickets online. When the entire world is moving towards digitalization, what is this??? Please change!! Want the old golden Balaji theatre back!!!

Very old theatre in Pondicherry .. I am going here from age of 10 ...still they give good service ... place with 70mm screen and good audio quality. it has free parking lot. large seating capacity with balcony and box options. fine seats and clean theater. ticket prices are affordable. But during big star movies they themselves sells the tickets in black.
