Dr Sankar Das Mahapatra is indeed one of the best doctors me & my family ever consulted. My wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy, operated by him at Bhagirathi Neotia Hospiral. He deserves a 5 star in all aspects: 1. Very polite & humble personality with a plethora of knowledge on his subject. 2. He makes you feel comfortable and is ready to answer all questions you have. 3. He gives you TIME. There has been times when my wife encountered complications/ doubts in odd hours and Dr Dasmahapatra obliged us over phone & even over WhatsApp. 4. My nine months of pregnancy felt like a beautiful period of life, thanks to the outstanding efforts of Dr. Sankar Das Mahapatra. Right from our very first visit after pregnancy, we were very happy to have chosen Dr. Sankar Das Mahapatra for our care. Dr. Sankar Das Mahapatra has been my gynecologist for more than 4 years now. At every appointment he continues to care me a lot and proves that he is a leader in his field. He is extremely knowledgeable and most of all he takes his time to ensure you have a full understanding of what is going on with your health as well as address each and every concern. I couldn't have been more pleased with his almost painless surgery and the care I received from him. The day prior to having surgery he personally visited me to make sure I wasn't nervous and answer any questions that I may have had. Within 4 days of my surgery I came to home with my baby and I was not much facing difficulties in walking, carrying the baby or climbing the stairs. Dr. Sankar Das Mahapatra was very punctual at all the time. I hardly remember he kept me waiting for more than 10 mins in my monthly/fortnightly checkups. He has given me very few medicines in my pregnancy period and encouraged me to have normal diet. Giving birth of a child is a natural process and he insisted me not to complicate it by taking additional medications. Dr. Sankar Das Mahapatra always tries to share the right amount of information at the right amount of time which kept us at ease and relaxed. Being relaxed is very important to a pregnant woman. There were no unwanted tests, no additional frights, just the required tests and visits to make sure me and my baby were doing well. He speaks less but he always describes your queries. For his dedicated efforts only, I managed to go to office and work till the day before my surgery.
