Howrah Municipal Corporation Stadium

It's location is opposite to Sarat Sadan, Howrah. Earlier it was called Howrah Maidan. In our boyhood we used to play football in the afternoon and morning. The aged people used to walk and share their joys and sorrows. Then it became Howrah Municipal Corporation Stadium. At the present time, nobody can't enter without tickets or permission. Now it is a good football stadium. Annual sports of schools, colleges, government employees of different departments, employees of the public undertakings, clubs are held in the stadium. It is well maintained by the Howrah Municipal Corporation. Matches of Kolkata football league are held here. Now it is called Sailen Manna Stadium. He was a great legend footballer of India. He is a great son of Howrah. Few matches of AFC youth championship, 2006 were held here. The capacity of the stadium is about 15000 people.
