My friend and I stumbled upon this little gem after a couple of days traveling on one of the longest and most treacherous stretches in Zanskar. I’m a big fan of home food and my friend has travelled the world trying all sorts of gourmet food. We both agree the food we had here is superior in anyway one looks at. The menu was short so over the course of three-day stay we tried almost everything they had to offer. I don’t really have a clear winner because every single dish I tried surpassed my expectation. The owners went out of their way to provide the most authentic Korean food experience possible. They brought in Korean style rice from Delhi, she made her own apple vinegar and broth from scratch for salad dressing. Food takes a bit longer to prepare because she doesn’t compromise the freshness by pre-chopping vegetables. We ordered salad, which was not on the menu, so he went out to the market and bought the best vegetables back for her to make. The bimbimbap came to the table hot and full of savour. The portion was generous. And wait, yes they have desserts too. Moist but not dense with just the right amount of sweetness banana cake. Oh Devine! I fell in love with this cozy home kitchen and their lovely owners. Hope to be back soon.

Great food prepared by wonderful people. If you need a meal or just a piece of cake and a cup of coffee you won't do better in Padum.
