Check post for further journey through police conveyer. Only four vehiler with close window allowed to proceed further.

Very systematic and well mannered check post before entering in Jarava tribal area. All vehicles allowed to pass in convoy for safety purpose. Andaman police force is taking due care of visitors and local tribal people. Near the Check post is having good hotels and bathroom facilities.

This check post is the gateway for entering in the Jarwa reserve forest from the Port Blair side and situated 45 km away from the Veer Savarkar International Airport. This route is 53 km long through the deep forest of Jarwa and final destination to Baratang end check post for going to the Limestone cave by speed boat. The scenic beauty of this place is pleasant. This journey through the deep forest by car is very adventurous and calm and quiet.

Check post is open around 06:00 AM and you have to follow the convoy after the paper work. You have to submit the ID proof number and submit the form describing reason of travel. You may see tribals during journey and at any cost do not take photos of them or interact with them. You may get jailed immediately without bail. Journey through Forest is wonderful.
