For the first I visited the branch to deposit a cheque of my friend. Fille up the deposit slip , steppled the cheque and handed over to the bench clerk . He simply teared the counter foil and gave it back to me . I asked him to sir endrose some bank ensign/stamp in the counterfoil as acknowledgement of receipt. He simply said not necessary . I said if unfortunately the cheque get misplaced then what proof will i have that i deposited the cheque in your bank .it took 3 to 4 minutes to discuss all these matter , but he didn't feel that it's a matter of second to put a stamp on that .
