The best state park in all of the US! The trails are great, swimming in the lake, the demonstration farm where you can feed and pet animals, and a wonderful campground. I would suggest going in the fall when the weather is nice and the leaves are changing colors. So glad we stopped here on our way across country.

Awesome state park with many activities, but the price for an annual pass is ridiculous in my opinion.

Very long winding road to get to Peavine falls. But a beautiful mountain top view once you get there. Very steep hiking trail..me and my younger daughter did not attempt to go down. Very large park! We went to the sand/boat area which had picnic tables where you can sit & watch the geese. We also went to Tree top Reserve...very cool! Great experience ud83dudc4d

We were very disappointed. We camped in section B in October 2020. The bath houses leave a lot to be desired. Only one commode per bath house for men. That commode had no power to flush and was either not working or stopped up a good bit of the time. It did not rain while we were there, yet the bathhouse floors were always muddy. Several times there was no hot water.nI camped with several friends. One friend had reservations, but they had rented out his site to someone else.. because of computer errors. Another friend had reservations for 5 nights...but their computer only had him down for three nights. Good thing he has his reservation email with him.nThey tried to charge another friend double, because they said he hadn't paid even though he had proof of payment with him.

We had a great time. There’s lots to do. With three young girls, they had a blast. We had a picnic on the lake, then went to the petting farm. The animals are nice but the goats get aggressive a little if you feed them. The food does cost a dollar. We also hiked the tree top trail to the wildlife center. It was very short and easy.
