This park is beautiful! From primitive camping area to cabins for rent, this is a gorgeous wooded mountain setting. There are hiking trails for all abilities, some with waterfalls! There are often family friendly events such as concerts and crafts fairs. I have been coming here over 40 years, now enjoy it with my 6-year old daughter.

I just went to Desoto Falls. There is a trail, but O didn't venture too deep. As far as I can tell it doesn't seem too difficult a pathnThere is a short trail that allows you a front view of Desoto waterfall. It's about half a mile long. But the view is breathtaking. Definitely worth the hike.

This time of year is Beautiful as always in the park... But the chalet we stayed in smelled like wet fireplace which we didn't use. For the price it should be updated and thoroughly cleaned. There were spiderwebs throughout it. And when the little mouse went running across the kitchen floor it was time to go. The staff are very nice but I don't think we will be back.

Primitive camp sites are secluded more than most parks. It is a very nice area. No water at primitive
