This is another popular beach and one of the top places to visit in Kollam. Situated at a distance of 5 km from the city it is a major beach of Thangassery. The Portuguese back in the 1500s created a trading center here and Thangassery became an important center of the pepper trade. Today, one can see a pretty seaside village here and this beach is an amazing place to enjoy a sunset with your folks on your trip to South India.

Very calm and serene place without much population.... best spot for nature and photography lovers...pls do visit the lighthouse nearby.....vote my comment as helpful if u like the pics and info

Good place for hangout. Light house is the main attraction at this place. Very calm place and it is beautiful.

Wanna chill? Head to the Tangasseri Beach... Go find a peaceful spot amidst the seashore, park, fort or harbour and relieve all ur stress enjoying the canvas of nature (which keepz changing every now n then), the birds that fly around, the cool breeze from the oceanside, the kidz who play around without any worriez, the elderly who gather in the eveningz to chit-chat n play poker/rummy... All these add up to the taste of the town... As time flies by n it's dark, there arisez the flash of light from the lighthouse, the life saver to the arayanz at sea... Now take a stroll by the sea, let the water take away the saltiness of the day... If u really want more time to urself then walk towards the harbour, find a rock that connectz with u n sit n relax, indulge in the silence of the dark... Meditate on the song of the ocean, connect, revive and rejuvenate urself... U can still try to spend the night out there and I assure u that u will have a very good night of sleep out there under the starry sky and a wonderful sunsrise...
