The Hotel Canoe

The hotel is located right at the heart of Kannur city and very close to railway station and other business places. I drove my car to this place and my first impression is a bit difficult to locate initially though adjacent to city centre a known shopping complex. You need to drive through a small bylane and there was no prominent board for the naked eye. Later, I saw a small board on the main road.nComing to my stay the hotel looks decent with attractive looking facade. The front office staff was cordial. I stayed there for 3 days and my stay was absolutely comfortable. The room is super clean and bathroom too. The food is decent fare and palatable. Because of covid the hotel is near empty and otherwise hope they have enough customers because of being on the city. They have gym and swimming pool for guest which is a good addition. I utilized the gym the entire 3 days and it seems the gym was a fully functional one before pre-covid. They have ample car parking and the only issue I had is there is no resting place for the accompanying driver and he was forced to spend the nights in the car which was unfortunate. They could have offered a small place for the nights only. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for two nights and three days from Feb 11. Extremely good service, room is very spacious and clean. Food was good. Very friendly staff. I recommend this hotel for people who are expecting above services and not bother to spend. Very good.

This new hotel is a true example of excellent hospitality. Located right near Kannur railway station, the rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant was very accommodating to special requests and the deserves a special thanks for the tasty food. The staff was extremely friendly & professional and went out of the way to be helpful, which obliviously added upto a great experience. Highly recommended and hope this level of hospitality continues

We stayed at this place during Christmas holidays. A new setup with good spacious rooms and a restaurant. The restaurant staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a swimming pool and indoor sports facility to offer but it is outside the building and needs special permission to go there, which was very disappointing. Hence we were unable to go there even after having put up there for 3 days. Also the food options could include local Kerala cuisines. And if u need a room with a bathroom larger than your room then choose 202! :) Overall pretty good!
