St. Mary's CSI Church

Traditional church with English worship service at 07:30 am and Malayalam service at 09:30am. They sing out of the Golden Bells in the English service. They also have an organ with foot pedals to play the lowest notes which I found quite fascinating. The church has a wooden roof frame and stained glass windows from the 1800s. A worthwhile visit for both its historical value and meaningful worship.

This church has a very pleasant courtyard. It is very refreshing to be the in the afternoon and evenings (if they permit).

Members hospitality to the new members are really good.. we DNT feel as an outsider

The CSI St. Mary’s Church Nadakkavu, Calicut, is more famous, especially among the old timers, as the English Church. The British era Church was built for the benefit of the the British administrative and the military personal. The distinctly English architecture, obviously, isn't by accident. The well maintained place has a calming effect on the visitors. Another of the Calicut's nostalgic remnants.
