World War 2 museum Kisama

Apart from the traditional tribal architecture and galleries. The Naga Heritage Village also has a World War II Museum located within the complex in Kisama, near Kohima. It is a well curated museum with illustrations on the Battle of Kohima and Indian National Army. The Kisama village is 12 kms from Kohima. Paying a nominal entrance fee of Rs.10, one can get inside and start exploring. There is provision of taking cars inside for which additional pass may have to be arranged at the gate itself. At the start itself, there is exhibition cum sale of vegetables and flowers-right from originals to made up, and some in arrangements. The varieties are appreciable, starting from oranges to mushroom. Then there is a war museum also alongside a sale of paintings by native artists. There is sale of a wide variety of bamboo products, ethnic clothes to jewelries. you find a lot to carry as mementos.
