GHSS Mon is located just above Mon local ground. It provides both Arts and Science streams for the higher secondary section. The infrastructure has greatly developed compared to past years. The teaching staff consists of highly qualified and sincere teachers who come from different parts of Nagaland. As with some other government schools in Nagaland,especially in Mon district,there is the problem of huge enrollment of students which poses a hindrance for overall quality performance. However,this institution has been constantly producing good academic results especially in the higher secondary section.
