Probably the last stop on your way to Gurudongmar where you can have a light meal and get all other necessary items to go that height. Some local hard drinks are also available here which are good. A fews kilometres from here you will have the military checkpost where your documents and permits will be verified for the last time. And this place also offers a good scenic beauty with the river flowing through the valley and the clouds comes down at low height. And the climate starts to get colder from here onwards.

One of the best homestays in Thangu at height of 14000ft MSL.. price with food include 750/ person per night.. Parking space is outside homestay..
