We had been to this emporium during our visit to Gangtok. The handicrafts are lovely and made to keep the traditions and heritage of their region alive.nnVery spacious and government managed. Prices are decent. Photography is banned inside the emporium.nnOnly cash payments are taken like most places in Gangtok.nnOpposite the sales emporium there is also a crafts museum in the first floor. You should visit that as well as there is some fine artefacts kept for viewing.nnA ticket of Rs.10 is charged for entry and no photography is allowed here as well.nnAmple parking is available here.nnMake time to visit these places while at Gangtok.nnKeep clean & stay Green !

Not at all attractive for tourists. There are hand made carpets, dolls, toys, bags, showpieces, etc. If you are fancy of handicrafts and want to purchase such item, then u can go there, else it's useless. Pay and Use Toilet facility is there.nIf you are going out for local sight scene, then don't go there. Tour operators may include that as a site for visit, but insist the operator to skip this site. It's not worthy of visiting by paying the tour operator or cab driver.

It is very nice experience. You can see local craftsman creating masterpiece. Lots to see and explore at this place.

You will definitely be mesmerized by the variety of things that can be made using bamboo alone. Hand-made papers(₹30per page), diaries, bamboo water bottles, etc. Also one can witness the process of making these crafts.
