Tiger Hill Cemetery

It is an old cemetery used by British during the colonial era. This is one of the unexplored places to visit while in Ooty. It is surrounded by a tea estate and hence hard to reach. The place has its own haunted beauty. You can click some great pictures in this place.

Secondly, it's a challenging task to locate this place because Google maps will mislead you (Although the marker on the maps is precise, the route that it shows to reach there, is all wrong) and there are no sign...nThe road keeps getting narrower and narrower and starts appearing more like a mud/tar path.The cemetery itself has its own spooky charm (I recalled an Enid Blyton famous 5 style adventure).

By far, this is the best place I have ever been to in Coonoor. You will find the people who died in early 1900s also. The mourning angel statue is destroyed, but it still has the grace. Also do watch The song Bolna from Kapoor and sons. It is shot in this cemetery.nIt is extremely difficult to locate this place by using Google maps. The location in the google maps is correct, but the navigation to reach that point is not correct.nTip - Don't navigate. Just search for the place and follow the road. Chose a path and ensure that you are on the correct road.

This is a cemetery which in the past had running fountain and foot paths..this location is not noticeable.many movies shooted here for British cemetery location.it is locked now.you can visit inside this by the side of the wall there is a narrow path.main gates are closed.there is an angel statue called mourning angel that has some lights on the eyes and beautiful wings.The fountain with mourning angel that was vandalised by locals .there is some nice view of the valley.also you can find that some old tombs that are covers 100years.so this cemetery is too old . It's construction is very nice to see .

We were bit scared to go here, but ultimately decided to visit. A huge tree had fallen down on the way so we had to park our vehicle on the road side and walk. View was excellent. The place is abandoned, I heard from local that there r many snakes in that area so b careful with kids, but we couldn't spot any. The gate was closed, so we overpassed and reached a dead end with beautiful view. Took some photos and again passed by the cemetery. We saw 2 guys inside so decided to jump wall and enter. Suddenly we realized that shooting of a famous movie starring Alia Bhatt was in this place(Kapoor and son's, song BOLNA MAHI BOLNA), so out of curiosity we jumped in there is a mourning statue on the way. Suddenly the area was covered with mist and we couldn't see anything. Bit ghostly feeling came to our mind and we ran out of this place. Overall it was a new experience. If you r not scared of such abandoned place u must visit it.
