Decent helathcare but needs constant upgradation. Sometimes the upgradation is not continuous or at par with the requirements of the city of silchar. Since long back people of the city look upto this hospital in case of an urgent case of medical assitance. Hence its a huge responsibility on their part. So far they are doing good but for a hospital it must reach optimum level. All the best.

Silchar Civil Hospital a state run hospital is serving the people of Silchar in CacharDistrict ,Assam for a long time.I in my childhood have seen this hospital serving the people nicely.In 1958,I can remrmber two well known Doctors of Silchar 1.Dr.B.Bhattacharjya M.B. 2.Dr.Nalinakshya Choudhury M.B.B.S. doing private practice at silchar.We were pstents of them ,do cannot remember names of Civil Hospital Doctor.However the no of patients were not so alerming at that time,and helth problem was limited.Even the old peoples were not seen suffeting like this days. Now a days the civil hospital has been developed to the modern facilities with many instrrumentation,like Doplar X-Ray,Ultra Donography,etc.C.T Scan also.
